Timothy Ryan Horan, 39

Timothy Ryan Horan of Greenwich, devoted family man whose love, humor and brilliance inspired so many, tragically died on March 15, 2024, eight days short of his 40th birthday.

Tim had a captivating personality…people gravitated towards him. His favorite moments were spent with his family, cheering on the Jets, taking leisurely family strolls with their dog, Penny, joining his daughter, Emma, for her Saturday swim lessons in the pool, traveling the world with his beloved wife, Joanna. Tim graduated from Jesuit High School in Tampa, FL, and from Fordham University where he played Division 1 Football.

He excelled at his career in finance and was a well-respected colleague at Bluebay Asset Management. Tim had a passion for golf, good bourbon and entertaining on his egg. He was a pillar of strength and support, always putting the needs of his loved ones above his own. His unwavering commitment to his family was evident in every aspect of his life.

Tim will be profoundly missed, and he left our world better than he found it. May we always remember his jovial smile, gregarious personality, brilliant mind, killer dance moves, tenacious work ethic, uncanny wit, his impressive style and timely sense of humor. In this rich life that touched so many, his parting gift was his organ donation, helping so many recipients in need.

Tim is survived by the love of his life Joanna, his treasured daughter, Emma, his unborn child, he was so eagerly anticipating, his parents, John and Kate Horan, his sister, Meghan Ahlersmeyer and her husband, Joe, his brother, William Horan and his wife, Alex, his paternal grandparents, Mary Ann and Jack Horan and Joanna’s parents, Bill and Patti Podewils, who loved him as their son, as well as countless aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
