Robert T. “Bob” Merchant Sr., 78, passed away on Tuesday, August 6, 2024.
He was born on January 29, 1946 to Edmund and Mary (nee Delvin) Merchant, in Greenwich.

Bob, as everyone knew him, went to St. Catherine’s School and graduated in 1963 from St. Mary’s High School. He then served in the US Navy from 1963- 1965.
He became an electrician in 1969 and went on to own Vivian Electric for 40 years.
He leaves his wife, Barbara (nee Catto) of 54 years, son Robert Jr. (Dana), daughter Tracey Zeranski (Aaron) and two grandsons, Sean Merchant, 13, and Jack Zeranski, 12. Along with two brothers, Donald and Edmund Merchant.
Bob was a member of the Knights of Columbus for 56 years and a lifetime member of the Byram Veterans Club. He enjoyed many vacations to Cape Cod, MA, Woodloch Pines, PA and loved Sundays at Island Beach.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday 10:00am at St. Catherine of Siena, Riverside, followed by interment at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Greenwich.
