Regina Plunkett Dowling, 62

Services have been scheduled for Regina Plunkett Dowling, 62, who on Dec 5 succumbed to her injuries resulting from a collision a week earlier in Old Greenwich.

Dowling held a master’s degree from the Yale Divinity School and a doctorate from Yale in Bible Studies.

A post on the Leo P Gallagher & Son website said Dowling was a well-loved member of the St Catherine of Siena morning Bible Studies for many years.

“We all enjoyed her intellect, her unique ability to share her faith, her insights into Scripture, and her wonderful sense of humor. That knowing smile with the twinkle in her bright eyes! She was a highlight of our studies. And we eagerly anticipated her wisdom in cracking open the Word,” Pam Sloane said in her comment.

On Nov 29, Dowling was walking to the Old Greenwich train station when she was hit by a car along Sound Beach Avenue. Greenwich Police continue to investigate the collision.

Visitation is scheduled for Dec 11 from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Leo P. Gallagher & Son Funeral Home, 2900 Summer St, Stamford, Connecticut 06905.

A mass of Christian Burial is set for 10:00am on Dec 12, 2019 at St Catherine of Siena Church, 4 Riverside Ave, Greenwich 06878.
