Margaret-Rose “MR” Laska, of Greenwich, passed away suddenly at home Sunday January 20. She was 58.
Born in Greenwich, June 3, 1960, to the late Ida Grace (nee Borchetta) and Jason Oliver Cushing. After graduating Greenwich High School in 1978, she pursued her passion of helping others by becoming a nursing assistant.
While serving for the RTM for Greenwich in the 1990’s, she finally met the love of her life and become a private activist for many causes for the remainder of her life. Along with many other accomplishments, her greatest of all was being a mom to her girls.
She leaves behind her beloved husband Frank. Margaret is also survived by daughters Nicole Alexandra Harris and Kristen Elizabeth Harris of Greenwich and Danielle Symone Outlaw of Hamden; her brother Marc Cushing of Orsay, France, his wife Hedwige and nieces Marie, Juliette and Irene; as well as brother in law Stephan Laska, his wife Janice and many many cousins.
To honor her life, family and friends will gather 4:00pm-8:00pm Wednesday at Coxe & Graziano Funeral Home 134 Hamilton Ave in Greenwich. Tel. (203) 869-5968.
A prayer serve will take place 7:00pm Wednesday at the funeral home. Committal will be private. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that you choose to donate to St. Jude Children’s Hospital, a passion of hers.
