Lowe, John Budd Jr., Longtime Greenwich Resident

John Budd Lowe, Jr. of Greenwich passed away on November 20, 2015. Mr. Lowe was born in Greenwich on April 9, 1928. A

fter graduating from Cos Cob Elementary School, Greenwich High School, and Tufts University (class of 1950), he received an MBA from Columbia University Graduate School of Business. Mr. Lowe also attended the Harvard Business School Advanced Management Program from which he graduated with honors.

A former Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of European American Bank, Mr. Lowe was a Certified Public Accountant, a Certified Fraud Examiner, and the former President of the Columbia Graduate School of Business Alumni Association, from which he received the Alumni Medal.

Mr. Lowe was a member of Tamarack Country Club, St. Michael’s Parish, the past President of St. Michael’s Parish Council, a Greenwich Old Timers Association annual award recipient, the lead trombonist in the Bob Button Orchestra, and the founder of the JBL Music Foundation.

He is survived by his wife of 59 years Patricia (Patsy) Prial Lowe, five children John (J.B.) Lowe, III (Laura), Edward (Ted) Lowe (Susan), Deirdre Burke (Christopher), Robert Lowe (Catherine), Melissa Edwards (Bradley); and 11 grandchildren as well as his brother, Kenneth E. Lowe. His unbounded love for his family and kindness and generosity to all is his greatest legacy.

Visitation will be on Monday, November 23 from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm at the Leo P. Gallagher & Son Funeral Home, 31 Arch Street, Greenwich, CT. A funeral mass will be held on Tuesday, November 24 at 11:00 am at St. Michael the Archangel Church, 469 North Street, Greenwich CT.
