John Anthony Sanna, age 97, of Greenwich, passed away October 3, 2023. John grew up in Greenwich and graduated from Greenwich High School. He was a veteran of WWII and served as a Corporal in the US Army, including under General George S. Patton during the “Battle of the Bulge.”
John worked in manufacturing most of his life until retirement, primarily at RB&W in Port Chester, NY, and at Peabody Engineering in Stamford, CT.
He loved to golf, to go on long walks, garden, and was an avid NY sports fan.
John was predeceased by his wife, Marie, parents Lorenzo and Maria, and brother Paul. He is survived by his two sons Lawrence and John, grandchildren Angelina and Thereza, brother Julius, and sister Martha. John was an incredibly generous person and would do anything for his family and friends, and he will be missed by all of them.
