Frank A. Rosa, a lifelong resident of Greenwich, passed away peacefully on July 10, 2026, at the age of 90.
Born on October 14, 1935, in Casa Sola, Italy, Frank was the beloved son of Carlo and Albina Rosa. At the age of four, he immigrated with his family to the United States, where he built a life defined by hard work, craftsmanship, and devotion to those he loved.
A gifted carpenter and master craftsman, Frank founded Rosa Carpentry, earning a reputation for his exceptional skill, integrity, and attention to detail. Affectionately known as “Poppy” by his family, Frank moved to Greenwich as a young boy, graduated from Greenwich High School, and remained a proud member of the community throughout his life.
Frank proudly served his country in the United States Army from 1958 to 1960. Outside of work, he enjoyed designing and building boats, a hobby that later evolved into a passion for refurbishing antique wooden boats. He was also a longtime and dedicated member of the Greenwich Boat & Yacht Club, where he formed many lasting friendships.
Frank is now reunited in Heaven with his beloved wife, Angeline, whom he missed dearly.
He leaves behind his loving children, Steven Rosa (Wendy) and Diane Rosa; his cherished grandchildren, Daniel (Maureen), Christopher, Jessica (Steven), and Olivia; and his adored great-grandchildren, Cecilia, Rylee, Lucille, and Luca.
