Emily C. Reynolds, of Greenwich passed away on July 25, 2017, just a week after her 95th birthday, which she happily celebrated with her family.
She was born in July of 1922 in Greenwich to Nicholas and Madeline Gisondi of Prospect Street.
She graduated from Greenwich High School, Class of 1941. Emily was predeceased by her beloved husband of over 30 years, William T. Reynolds in 1973.
Emily is survived by her 3 devoted children; son William T. Reynolds, Jr. of Greenwich (Alberta), daughters Joan R. Ballou, also of Greenwich and Nancy R. O’Quinn of Signal Mountain (Chattanooga), Tennessee.
She also leaves 5 grandchildren, William III, Marc, Allison, Elizabeth, and Shelby; plus 3 great grandchildren, Liam, Piper-Jane and Augustus. Besides Emily’s loving husband, she was predeceased in life by 3 sisters, Anna, Josephine and Edith, and by her 2 brothers, Julius and Nicholas.
The family wishes to thank all of the wonderful caregivers, medical, hospice and otherwise who with great kindness attended Emily in her final days at Greenwich Woods Healthcare Center in Greenwich.
The family will receive relatives and friends on Friday, July 28 at Coxe & Graziano Funeral Home, 134 Hamilton Ave from 4:30 to 7:30pm.
A celebration of Emily’s life will be a Mass at St. Paul’s Roman Catholic Church, 84 Sherwood Avenue at intersection with King Street on Saturday, July 29 at 10:00am.
Interment will follow at Greenwood Union Cemetery, North Street, Rye, NY. Any donation should be made in Emily’s name to the charity of one’s choice.
