She was the youngest of seven children, to the late Luigi Cotroneo and Petrina Rico Cotroneo. She was the wife of the late Salvatore Dell’Abate. Mrs. Dell’Abate lived in Uniondale, New York for over 35 years before moving to Florida, and then to Greenwich nine years ago.
She loved to cook and used her skills as a food demonstrator who worked at stores ranging from Macy’s Herald Square in New York City to Fortunoff’s on Long Island.
Mrs. Dell’Abate is survived by two sons, Gary Dell’Abate of Old Greenwich, Anthony Dell’Abate of Austin, TX, four Grandchildren and one Great Grandchild.
She was predeceased by a son Steven Dell’Abate. Her lively personality and sense of humor will be missed.
A Memorial Mass will be held on April 2, 2016 at 2:00 pm in St. Catherine of Siena Church, 4 Riverside Ave. Riverside, CT.
