Donald “Chip” Chiappetta, 81

Donald D, “Chip,” Chiappetta of Greenwich, passed away on Wednesday, March 13,
at his home in Stamford surrounded by his family.

Donald was born in Port Chester, NY on June 30, 1942 to Albert and Matilda (Carino) Chiappetta. While growing up in Greenwich, Donald was known as the “King of Pemberwick Park.”

After marrying Linda Haas, the love of his life in 1963, Donald started his own refuse business in Greenwich.

After twelve years in this business, Donald then became a service writer for many dealerships, including Grassi Cadillac of Greenwich and Minchin Buick of Stamford.

Donald, known as “Boomp”to his family, loved coaching and watching sports! He
sponsored a teen hockey team and coached his son’s little league baseball teams for
years. He loved watching the NY Yankees, the NY Giants, and the UCONN Girls
Basketball team.

Boomp’s other loves included watching Westerns, “Let’s Make a Deal,” and the “Price is Right,” fishing, antique cars, going to Florida, and eating chili on everything! But Boomp’s greatest loves were his wife, Linda, his children: Tami Wagner-Nast, Carrie Chiappetta, Alison Chiappetta, and Donald “Chip” Junior Chiappetta; his son-in-law, Neal; his grandchildren: Lexie, Ava, and Madeline, Abigail, and Natalie; and his brother: Robert Deregibus.

The family would like to thank Dr. Ralph Cipriani and Caring Hospice for their incredible
care.
