Chris Antonik, 68, Lifelong Greenwich Resident

Christian “Chris” Antonik, 68, lifelong resident of Greenwich, CT died on January 29, 2015 at Stamford Hospital. Born on July 27, 1946 in Port Chester, NY, the son of the late Edith Poulsen Antonik and John Antonik.

Chris lived in Byram his whole life. Attended Greenwich schools, Norwalk Community College, Norwalk State Technical School and J.M. Wright Technical School. Chris served in the CT National Guard, member of the Greenwich Fire Dept. (1963-present) as well as being Chief for three years, various Town committees, member of the Greenwich Boat and Yacht Club and Vice Chairman of Grass Island.

He was the owner of Delavan Avenue Service, Inc. in Byram since 1969.

Chris’ lifetime love was boating and being on Long Island Sound as well as gardening, home improvement and caring for all his pets.

Chris is survived by his wife of 38 years, Carolyn Clarke Antonik, a brother Paul Antonik and wife Dale, a sister Margaret Volinski and husband Tom, three grown stepchildren, Jennifer Hubka (CA), Deanna Stutler (TN), Clarke Rogers (CA), four step grandchildren, two nephews, four nieces, four grandnieces and all his pets.
