The Greenwich Registrars of Voters, a Center of Election Excellence, invites you to an open house.
Are you curious about how elections are kept safe and secure in Greenwich and across the nation? Join us on Wednesday, August 7 from 6:30-8:30pm in the Town Hall Meeting Room at Greenwich Town Hall.
The Registrars, their staff, and volunteer poll workers will be on hand to answer any question you have about conducting accurate, transparent, and secure elections. Any resident is welcome to attend, including those who are too young to register but want to learn about the process.
In 2023, the Registrars launched the Election Academy, a multi-session program to provide a deep dive into election administration. This year we are holding these drop-in open houses for those who don’t have time for the full program.
The open house will include an opportunity to view how election equipment is tested, provisions for accessible voting, and tools used to maintain chain of custody.
If you have questions about how voting is conducted in Greenwich, or Connecticut, or the US in general, this is an opportunity to get answers from your local experts.
