Starting next week there will free income-tax preparation assistance is available at Greenwich Town Hall from 9:00am to 2:30pm Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays at in the Hayton Room, 3rd floor beginning Tuesday, February 5 until Thursday, April 11, and Saturdays at the Greenwich Main Library from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm.
The tax prep help is sponsored by the AARP Foundation who trains and certifies Greenwich volunteers.
The assistance is open to all.
Taxpayers need to bring a photo ID, Social Security cards for themselves, their spouses and any dependents, birth dates and a blank check for their bank account for direct deposit in case a refund is due.

Married couples who are filing jointly will both have to sign the tax return.
No appointments are required at the Greenwich Library but for the Town Hall, taxpayers are encouraged to make appointments by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org or stopping in the Hayton Room in Town Hall during our hours of operation.
Those with appointments will be taken first, in the order of arrival.
