Saks Fifth Avenue Continues Its Greenwich Expansion

SaksSaks Fifth Avenue has leased 14,500 square feet of additional retail space at 200 Greenwich Avenue, strategically situated directly across from Saks’ existing store. The space, previously Baker Furniture, is located on both the ground and second floors of the building. The lease was announced by Ron Brien, president of Alliance Commercial Property.

Back in early August, Saks Fifth Avenue signed a lease for 13,500 square ft retail space at 20 East Elm St, formerly home to Urban Outfitters for a separate women’s shoe store location.

Saks Fifth Avenue, renowned for its superlative selling services and merchandise offerings, offers the best of European and American designers for men and women. Saks Fifth Avenue has 39 stores servicing customers in 22 states.

“Saks Fifth Avenue is synonymous with fashionable, gracious living,” said Mr. Brien, who represented Saks in the 200 Greenwich Ave transaction. “Their commitment to Greenwich is extraordinary.” Jessica Curtis, of Newmark Knight Grubb Frank, represented the landlord in this transaction.

Back in 2013, Saks Incorporated was acquired by Hudson’s Bay Company (HBC), North America’s longest continually operated company, joining a portfolio of iconic brands including Hudson’s Bay and Lord & Taylor.
