Grand Prix NY to Host Adopt-A-Dog Fundraiser: “Racing for Rescues”

If you like go-kart racing, or have never tried it, this is a great opportunity to head to Grand Prix New York (GPNY) in Mt. Kisco and give it a try, and in the process help support Adopt-A-Dog.

Racing for Rescues, is set for Thursday, October 15 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm.

“I’m a huge dog lover, so when I heard Adopt-A-Dog was looking for a new and unique way to hold a fundraiser I thought Grand Prix would be the perfect place,” said Nat Mundy, Vice President of Sales and Marketing for GPNY.

Swanson

Swanso is a dog available for adoption from Adopt-A-Dog in Armonk.

At Adopt-A-Dog’s Armonk facility, staff and volunteers care for over 35 dogs at a time and more than 150 animals a year including dogs of all ages, breeds and sizes.

Adopt-A-Dog Executive Director Kristen Rice said the organization has set a fundraising goal of $3,000 for the event.

“Adopt-A-Dog is so thankful to Grand Prix for providing us with the opportunity to showcase our animals and collect the necessary funds to help care for them,” said Rice. “The biggest expense to our rescue is veterinary care. The money raised at ‘Racing for Rescues’ will offset those costs including providing vaccines, preventative care and direct care from shelter staff.”
