Asiana Café to Move Down the Block in Greenwich

Asiana Café, the popular restaurant on East Putnam Ave that blends Chinese, Thai and Japanese cuisine, is making a move.

A woman who answered the phone on Wednesday said the last day at the current location is this Thursday, Aug 30 and Friday, Aug 31 will be the first day at the new location at 68 East Putnam Avenue.

For 12 years, Asiana has been at 130 East Putnam Ave, the location many with a long memory recall was once the popular bar and restaurant called Tucson.

With their happy hour Monday to Friday with $5 glasses of wine and $3.00 beers, $6.00 cocktails, great deals on food from 4:30pm to 6:00pm, large party room, usually a parking spot available right out front, and everything from chow fun to sushi, the restaurant has been continuously rated upscale from Zagat since 2002.

The restaurant is moving to in Whole Foods Shopping Center at 68 E Putnam Ave, in the space previously home to Wuji, and prior to that the longtime home of Hunan Gourmet.

Just over a year ago, Wuji, the Chinese Restaurant closed abruptly.
