Abilis Returns to Island Beach For Third Year to Manage and Staff Concession Stand

Abilis and the Town of Greenwich are pleased to announce that Abilis is back for its third year operating the Island Beach Concession stand.

After running the concession stand the past two summers, Abilis is excited to run the popular concession again this year and have the stand be an important provider of inclusive jobs for Abilis
community members with disabilities and local teens.

“Running the Island Beach concession stand these past two summers has been a great learning
experience for our Abilis community members,” said Amy Montimurro, CEO and president of
Abilis in a release. “We love this inclusive work environment where individuals are developing skills and enjoying the outdoors on the beautiful island.”

The concession stand offers beach favorites like hot dogs, hamburgers, French fries, a variety of
ice cream, popsicles, candy, and new this year: chicken strips, Mac bites, sandwiches, salads,
wraps, bagels and baked goods.

Beach visitors can also find picnic items like BBQ charcoal, sand buckets, shovels, toys and more.

Updates and menu specials will be available on the Island Beach Concession social media
accounts on Facebook and Instagram at @islandbeach.concession.
