Wildacre Rotisserie Launches Chicken Challenge

41 Chickens in 41 Days? The Philly chicken challenge is coming to Greenwich! Following the viral story about Alexander Tominsky, now known as “The Philadelphia Chicken Man” who ate 40 rotisserie chickens in 40 days, Wildacre Rotisserie has launched its own chicken challenge.

Ben Pote, formerly Starbucks’ Director of Culinary Innovation and sweetgreen’s Director of Culinary Strategy, announced the contest in a video on Instagram: the first customer to eat 41 chickens in 41 days will win a year’s worth of Wildacre and have the cost of all 41 chickens covered by Pote. Wildacre opened in Greenwich this summer and offers a fresh take on the traditional rotisserie featuring pasture-raised birds from Cooks Venture, founded by Blue Apron co-founder Matthew Wadiak.

In addition, Wildacre will also donate $1,000 to Greenwich nonprofit Neighbor to Neighbor to help feed families this holiday season.

The challenge kicks off Monday, November 14, so by Christmas Eve there could be a new chicken champion on the scene.

Competition Rules:
• 41 whole rotisserie chickens must be purchased from Wildacre over a period of 41 days, excluding Thanksgiving (takeout, delivery and dine in are accepted).
• Winner must submit proof of purchase for 41 whole rotisserie chickens from Wildacre.
• The first person to submit proof of purchase for 41 whole rotisserie chickens will be deemed the winner.
