Vote Republican Leadership You Can Trust: Alfano, Arora, Brus, Dodson, Hopley & Jansen

The Board of Estimate and Taxation (BET) manages Greenwich’s $600 million budget — the money that funds our schools, public safety, parks, and senior services. That’s an enormous responsibility. To do the job well, we need Republicans with financial expertise, proven leadership, and deep roots in our community.

That is why I support the Republican slate of David Alfano, Nisha Arora, Alessandra Brus, Phil Dodson, John Hopley, and Lucia Jansen. Together, they bring the right experience and values to protect taxpayers.

  • David Alfano has served on the BET since 2021 and is Chair of the Audit Committee. A Greenwich resident for 56 years, he owns and operates his own accounting firm and previously served on the RTM.

  • Nisha Arora is Chair of the BET’s Investment Committee. With two decades in investment management and extensive nonprofit leadership, she brings financial expertise and a commitment to community service.

  • Alessandra Brus has a background in capital markets and business consulting. She has served on the boards of Kids in Crisis and Neighbor to Neighbor, and founded Greenwich’s chapter of the National Charity League.

  • Phil Dodson is a lifelong Greenwich resident, six-term RTM member, and retired Greenwich Police Lieutenant. He has also served as vice-chair of the RTM Public Works Committee and received the St. Augustine Medal of Service.

  • John Hopley is a current RTM member with 25 years of global finance and investment management leadership. He brings expertise in financial analysis, strategic planning, and risk management.

  • Lucia Jansen serves on the BET’s HR Committee and spent eight years as Chair of the RTM Budget Overview Committee. She combines private-sector executive experience with nearly two decades of town service.

What unites this team is not only their professional achievements, but their character and commitment to Republican principles: keeping taxes low, ensuring transparency, and delivering disciplined, accountable leadership.

On September 9, Republicans have the chance to elect a team that represents the best of our party and the best of Greenwich. I urge my fellow Republicans to vote for Alfano, Arora, Brus, Dodson, Hopley, and Jansen. Early voting begins September 2 at Town Hall.
