As a resident of 45 years, I plan to vote for Anthony Moor for First Selectman. Moor was an Emmy nominated on-air news reporter covering people, politics, and government across the U.S. from New York, Florida and California who learned what makes towns tick and how local municipalities work. As a two-term member of the Greenwich Representative Town Meeting, he revitalized a nearly dormant committee to work on traffic control and management, parking, sidewalks, bicycle and pedestrian-friendly amenities and safety.
What I admire and appreciate most is Moor’s earnest dedication to discern and serve the needs and priorities of the people and the town in a thoughtful, effective, and sensitive manner. His mission, vision and leadership will move us forward with a plan and strategy effecting the changes we need. No doubt, Moor’s focus will be on protecting and supporting our schools, low taxes with responsible budgeting without waste and mismanagement, widening stormwater pipes to protect homes from flooding, bringing schools into ADA compliance without delays, and addressing traffic control and management, parking, and sidewalks.
Both Anthony Moor and Rachel Khanna, Democratic candidate for First Selectman and Selectwoman have a proven track record for listening, planning, rolling up their sleeves, and delivering the needs of our community. On November 4th I will be voting Row A to support all these visionary candidates including the BET to create the change we need to see in the Town of Greenwich, and I invite you to do the same.
