In this ongoing election, I will cast my vote for Jill Oberlander to be our State Senator for Connecticut’s 36th District.
The reasons for my support are clear: Jill has a proven track record in local and regional public service; she has a strong educational and professional background; and, as a longtime Greenwich resident, she is acutely aware of our current challenges and opportunities. Jill’s grasp on the current issues and realistic legislative solutions is excellent, as I observed first-hand during a number of local public service and volunteering projects on which we both participated.
A key asset of hers is to bring together the right people at the right time to enable better results than initially expected. In our current, very political- and overly party-driven environment, she has both the communication skills and legislative experience to independently discern the real problems, cooperate with others irrespective of party
affiliations, and deliver tangible results.
It is worth noting her ABC issues in her campaign platform: A) Affordability, B) Business and local Income/Jobs, C) Constitution and Legislative issues.
As a long-time unaffiliated and generally rather skeptical voter, Jill has diligently earned my trust and I am confident that she will represent all of her constituents well in our State Senate. I know she will keep the district’s important issues as her priorities including our shared concerns about density and space; traffic, transportation and parking solutions; safety; as well as work, living and recreational spaces.
Please join me and vote for Jill Oberlander for State Senator for the 36th District.
Respectfully,
Ernst Schirmer, Cos Cob
