“There you go again,” Mr. Raabe, to quote then Governor Ronald Reagan at a presidential debate back in 1980 to incumbent President Jimmy Carter, who repeatedly misstated Reagan’s positions. To be clear, I consider late President Carter to be a great humanitarian.

By the way, the Letter to the Editor policy of the Greenwich Time is far more restrictive than the Greenwich Sentinel.
Please don’t be so presumptuous to pretend to know Republicans better than we know ourselves. While there are many, many positive things President Trump has done and there are many more to come, that doesn’t mean every Republican agrees with everything he has done – no more than every Democrat agrees with everything Biden or Obama did. Choosing a candidate is for many, if not most voters a compromise to select the one who most closely represents your opinions and beliefs – that goes for every elected position.
The holier than thou liberal Democrats would like us to believe and try to convince themselves that Republican/conservative = bad and Democrat/liberal = good; that is simply untrue. The world is not that simple or that black and white. “Let he who is without sin cast the first stone.”
They conveniently forget about the hasty and disastrously executed withdrawal from Afghanistan ordered and announced by Joe Biden so far in advance to our enemy that it meant unnecessarily endangering our troops, and leaving behind scores of our fellow countrymen and our brave Afghan partners and their families who risked their lives to fend for themselves – not to mention the leaving behind millions upon millions of dollars worth of military equipment and access to our technology.
While not given the appropriate press, what about Biden’s Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin who went AWOL for three days and while undergoing anesthesia for elective surgery without notifying the President of the United States or following other appropriate protocols. Rather than being fired, Biden expressed “complete trust and confidence in Secretary Austin” and the matter was dropped.
Housing illegal immigrants in luxury hotels while leaving our own veterans and mentally ill to remain on the streets.
The American people should not be asked to forget and forgive the Democratic Party leaders, the mainstream media and his own wife Jill Biden for conspiring to hide the failing capacity of the Commander and Chief of the United States of America and the leader of the free world – the very definition of gaslighting. Once they could no longer to pretend it wasn’t happening they anointed Kamala Harris, a key stakeholder in the plot, as the nominee – without having being voted for by electors.
Fast forward, the Democrats in NYC have nominated a self Democratic Socialist as their candidate for mayor. Not to mention the literal disaster that is the State of California. I could go on but really, need I say more?
As we enter the campaign season I would like to challenge both local parties to pledge to refrain from character assassination and stick to the issues in a civil manner.
Let’s try to help those of different beliefs get back to the same Thanksgiving dinner table rather than widening the divide.
Respectfully,
