To the editor:
My thanks to the League of Women’s Voters and the Round Hill Association for hosting candidate debates for this year’s municipal elections.
Thinking back to one of the questions – how to quell the political divisiveness and bring down the temperature – I was particularly impressed by Rachel Khanna and her ability to work with others, regardless of party affiliation. Rachel is thoughtful, diligent, respectful, and committed to finding and implementing solutions to community concerns. She listens to residents. Rachel possesses a quiet strength, is trustworthy, and gets things done; she has all the qualities that Greenwich needs and deserves in our Town’s leadership.
Rachel’s accomplishments serving as State Representative for the 149th District are considerable and evidence her skill at listening, learning, and working collaboratively to reach the best result for Greenwich. All of us can thank her for the millions of dollars brought back to our community during her tenure. Despite being newly elected, Rachel quickly became the de facto leader of the Greenwich delegation.
I will be voting for Rachel Khanna for Selectperson, and Anthony Moor for First Selectman, and I ask you to join me. I am confident that this team is the best choice for Greenwich’s future. Election day is November 4th and early voting starts on October 20.
