Gamanos: No Better Candidate for Selectwoman than Rabin

Submitted by Dean Gamanos

Could there possibly be a better candidate for Selectwoman in Greenwich than current Selectwoman Lauren Rabin?

Very unlikely, but why should anyone even take a chance?

Lauren Rabin is well-informed, gracious, and somebody that can be depended on to get things done. Lauren has a gentle manner that folks warm up to,…plus, she’s a good listener.  Moreover, she is a terrific team player and has worked exceptionally well together with Fred Camillo in keeping Greenwich the great town that it is today.

They have continued to keep taxes low while promoting significant improvements (like to the Old Greenwich Civic Center, the construction of Gems Station Four and more). Fred and Lauren were also able to bring outdoor dining to our town during Covid – not an easy feat. We’ve got to re-elect this winning team!

It should be mentioned that our Police Department is second to none and our Town rated in the top 10 for safety. There’s an old saying that certainly applies here… “If it isn’t broken why fix it?”

Selectwoman Rabin currently participates on many important decision-making committees.  She is the liaison to the Central Middle School Building Committee, Greenwich High School Vestibule Committee and The Glenville Beautification Committee. It would be very helpful and less disruptive for our town if she is able to continue to lend her proven experience to these and other important projects.

Selectwoman Lauren has been a good mother and has put her children through Greenwich’s public schools. Her two sons took part in Greenwich Youth Football, Cub Scouts, and more, not to mention her PTA involvement all the way through their high school years.

As a veteran and member of both the Byram Vets and American Legion Post 29, I know Lauren has attended our ceremonies and supported our work. I’m amazed at how she finds the time to do so much.

Please be sure to re-elect Lauren Rabin for Selectwoman!

Sincerely,

Dean Gamanos
