UPDATE: 4-Month-Old Afghan Hound Puppy Adopted by Local Veterinarian

Screen Shot 2015-04-16 at 4.43.24 PMUpdate: A local veterinarian who has a farm and previously owned an Afghan Hound has adopted adorable Esme.

Original Story: Meet Esme, a 4-month-old purebred Afghan Hound puppy available for adoption. Esme is being fostered in Greenwich near the hospital. After being purchased by a family who wasn’t able to care for her she found her way to the foster care of our friend Tina Aronson, who volunteers with Cat Assistance. If we didn’t know Tina so well, it would be too good to be true.

With those tufted silver eyebrows, Esme looks like a wise old soul. But she is a happy puppy who gets along with both dogs and cats.

In Greenwich she is having fun playing with a Pug and a Pit Bull who opened up their home to her.

Esme is 26 lbs today, and will grow to about 70 lbs. She has been vetted, has all her shots and is a healthy girl.

She takes treats nicely and knows a few commands. She is quiet and gentle and will probably find a home quickly.
