Wreaths Across America Tradition Continues on Saturday at Christ Church Cemetery

The Israel Putnam House Association, the group in charge of preserving Greenwich’s historic Putnam Cottage, will join the Putnam Hill Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution to host the annual local Wreaths Across America tradition.

The local event will be held in the Christ Church cemetery, joining more than 3,700 participating locations across the country to Remember, Honor and Teach about America’s fallen hero veterans.

The ceremony will be held in local communities across America to pay tribute to veterans who made the supreme sacrifice to protect Americans’ freedoms.

This year, it will locally be held on Saturday, December 16, 2023 at 12:00 pm at Christ Church Cemetery (under the arch), 254 East Putnam Ave in Greenwich.

Separate wreaths will be presented honoring the fallen from each branch of the military.

All are welcomed to attend to show support for military veterans and in remembrance of those who died so that we may enjoy our liberty.

After the annual Wreaths across America’ ceremony, join hosts across the street at Putnam Cottage for holiday refreshments.
