Ten Greenwich Girl Scouts Seek Local Partners for Gold Award

Ten high school Greenwich Girl Scouts are seeking to carry out 80+ service hours to complete a sustainable, innovative project to earn the Girl Scout Gold Award. The Girl Scout Gold Award is the highest honor a Girl Scout can earn.

The Girl Scout Gold a Award program empowers Girl Scouts to stand up for what they believe in, inspire others, and make a difference.

Projects are composed of five key elements and must (1) address a root cause of an issue that they feel passionate about that has a (2) national and/or global link. Through their actions, they must demonstrate (3) leadership while also creating (4) sustainable and (5) measurable impact.

Girl Scouts must also build a team of trusted adults, peers, and leaders in their community to guide them through challenges and support their success.

Our Greenwich Girl Scouts are ready to take action and serve the local community. One high school troop shared that they would love to find projects that focus on animals, children, environmental sustainability, health and relationships.

The Girl Scouts identified empathy as their strength and public speaking and research as their talent. Please contact [email protected] today.
