Greenwich United Way Reading Champions Program is recruiting volunteer tutors.

Do you have an hour a week to work with elementary school students who need

Would you like to see a student read more fluently and gain a love of reading?

The United Way Reading Champions program is in need of additional tutors for the current school year. The program, trains and places tutors with individual K-6 students who work one-on-one for an hour each week. Tutors focus on building students’ fluency skills in sessions that take place at the following locations:

North Mianus School, The BANC After-School Program, New Lebanon School, Glenville School, North Street School, The International School at Dundee, Julian Curtiss School, Cos Cob School, Hamilton Avenue School, Riverside School, the CCI Homework Club, YWCA and The Boys and Girls Club of Greenwich.
