Original story: Backcountry Greenwich welcomes all to its Fifth Annual Round Hill Association Neighbor Day.

Activities begin at 7:30 am and end at 4-5:30 pm with a Tailgate Drinks and Snacks gathering at the Audubon Parking Lot.

Backcountry could be described as the lungs of Greenwich. It has hundreds of acres of open space, most providing trails or gardens for our residents to enjoy.

On October 7, 2023, fifteen Backcountry institutions, veggie, food and wine providers, and community organizations will again open their doors to celebrate fall.

New participants/events this year are:

11-1:00
GEMS, Station 4 – offering a tour of their new facilities

9:30-11:30
Sacred Heart Greenwich – opening their meadow showcasing their Beekeeping and Native Plants, with students answering questions.

9-11:30
St. Barnabas Episcopal Church – offering a tour of their Richard Fowkes Organ and Philip Ives Sanctuary

2:00 – 2:30
At the North Greenwich Congregational Church (NGCC) handmade goods for sale, all by Afghan evacuees resettled through the coordination of Jewish Family Services and Greenwich churches. Leadership and training by dedicated volunteers from Harvest Time Church, PeaceWork, Inc., and NGCC.

For more information about the 15 participants and times please go to the Round Hill Association (RHA) website – roundhillassn.org
