Neighbor to Neighbor April 3 Spring Luncheon to Feature Author Lydia Fenet

The 2024 Annual Spring Luncheon to benefit Neighbor to Neighbor is set for Wednesday, April 3, from 11:45-2:00 pm  Greenwich Country Club.

The inspiring guest speaker is Lydia Fenet, author of Claim Your Confidence: Unlock Your Superpower and Create the Life You Want.

“How do I become more confident?” is the question Lydia hears whenever she speaks to women across the country.

Her latest book gives you the tools you need to push yourself out of your comfort zone and face your fears head on.

Fenet spent two decades as the Global Managing Director of Strategic Partnerships for Christie’s auction house, breaking down barriers for women in the industry and reshaping the fundraising landscape as the world’s leading charity auctioneer.

She has helped to raise over one billion dollars, auctioneering alongside celebrities including Bruce Springsteen, Hugh Jackman, Elton John, Matt Damon, and Jerry Seinfeld, to raise money for nonprofits.

Now Lydia is the founder and CEO of a boutique agency that represents world class auctioneers, the Lydia Fenet Agency. Her first book, The Most Powerful Woman in the Room is You has been optioned by Netflix in 2022 for a series with Kiernan Shipka as the lead.

Tickets will include a copy of Lydia Fenet’s new book. Purchase a spot before 5:00pm on Monday, April 1 on the Neighbor to Neighbor website or call (203) 622-9208 x109.

This event is live, in-person only. Greenwich Country Club is located at 19 Doubling Road in Greenwich.

Neighbor to Neighbor’s mission is to improve the lives of residents in need throughout the Greenwich area and strengthens our community by creating access to food, clothing, and basic living essentials in an atmosphere of kindness and respect.

Neighbor to Neighbor offers income-qualified Greenwich residents nutritious food on a weekly basis and a summer food supplement for families with school-aged children.

Staff and volunteers at Neighbor to Neighbor operate a “client choice” food pantry, designed to resemble a small grocery store that is open 6 days a week.

Clients select their own food from a healthy array of protein, fruits, vegetables, grains, cereals, eggs, and milk.

There is often a selection of fresh pastries and seasonal items too.

Neighbor to Neighbor aims to provide healthy food that accommodates cultural, religious, personal, and dietary preferences.

The Food Pantry accommodates vegetarian and diabetic diets and will do the best to accommodate kosher or gluten-free diets, as requested.

On a monthly basis clients visit the Clothing & Essentials Room by appointment for household essentials: personal care products, household cleaning products, feminine hygiene products, and new winter blankets and warm outerwear.

Statistics: Supplemental food to 645 families, which represents 1700 distinct men, women, and children and food for 55,000 meals. This is an over 20% increase year over year.
