Join us as we welcome our special guest, Larry Kantor. Larry’s long and distinguished career in finance includes roles as the former Head of Research for Barclays Capital and former Economist at the Federal Reserve Bank in Washington, DC. He will discuss what economic changes we can expect over the coming years from the proposed new policies on tariffs, trade, taxation, cost-cutting, immigration, and more.

Larry Kantor currently serves as an Operating Partner at Atlas Merchant Capital, a private equity firm based in New York, and is on the Board of Ideas42, a nonprofit that uses behavioral science to address social issues,
Kantor’s previous roles included over a decade as Managing Director and Head of Research at Barclays Capital. In conjunction with this role, he was a member of the investment bank executive committee and made numerous media appearances, including on CNBC, Bloomberg TV and radio, and The Nightly Business Report.
In addition, Kantor served as the Head of Foreign Exchange Strategy and Chief European Economist at J.P. Morgan. Earlier in his career, he served as the Chief Economist and Strategist at Normandy Asset Management and as an Economist at the Federal Reserve in Washington, D.C.
Kantor began his professional journey as an Assistant Professor of Economics at Lehigh University. In 2016, following his retirement, he was selected as an Advanced Leadership Initiative Fellow at Harvard University, where he contributed to critical discussions on leadership and social impact. A frequent speaker at the Retired Men’s Association in Greenwich, he holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics, Phi Beta Kappa, from Rutgers University, and earned both an M.A. and Ph.D. in Economics from Ohio State University.
