GPD: Driver Arrested: No License or Insurance, Wrong Plates, DUI

On Tuesday around 3:30am Greenwich Police pulled over a car on Delavan Ave at Frontage Rd in Byram that they spotted speeding and tailgating.

Police said Reinner G Marquez Fernandez, 22, of Bridgeport faces multiple charges. For starters, the registration plate did not belong to the vehicle. The accused did not have a driver’s license. Also, he was allegedly showing signs of alcohol and/or drug impairment.

He was unable to perform field sobriety tests to standard.

He was charged with DUI, Improper Use Marker/Lic, Illegal Operation without Minimum Insurance, Speeding, Follow Too Closely, and Operating without License.

He was released after posting the required 7% of his $300 bond and has a date in Stamford Superior Court on Jan 27.
