When Loss is Painful during Holidays, Coxe & Graziano Offers Support Group

Many people have difficulty coping with the pain of loss during the holiday season. Coxe & Graziano Funeral Home of Greenwich is hosting a no-cost support group to help people cope with the pain of loss during the holiday season.

“The holiday season is an emotionally charged time for anyone who has experienced a loss.  While joy and festivities surround us, those who grieve are going through the motions with a heavy heart,” said Jennifer Graziano, owner of Coxe & Graziano Funeral Home in Greenwich.

On Sunday Dec. 11 at 12:00 noon, in-house Bereavement Counselor, Terri Agliardo will lead a discussion that will enable people to share their struggles. She will also offer tips and suggestions to help people on their journey of grief. The session will be held at Coxe & Graziano at 134 Hamilton Avenue in Greenwich.

Graziano said that many years ago, Agliardo taught a high school class on Death & Dying, and that was where the two initially connected. Twelve years ago, Graziano reached out to her former teacher to start a monthly support group at Coxe & Graziano’s Mamaroneck location.  “She’s been instrumental to so many people,” Graziano said.

“Our family offers this program so that those in the community in need of support and guidance can receive it in a comfortable setting with a trusted professional,” Graziano said.
