Members of the Garden Club of Old Greenwich gathered recently to spread holiday cheer throughout the village, just in time for the holidays.
Visitors to the main business area of Old Greenwich can enjoy the festive decorations thanks to the hard work of the club volunteers.

Club members gathered and cut greens and added festive bows and ornaments of the beds and pots in the village. The mission was to transform the village into a beautiful place for the First Light celebration and for the holiday season.
Club President Char Barnes said, “We’re delighted to continue this long tradition of helping the town celebrate the holidays. Our members have enjoyed creating these decorations for decades, and it’s always a highlight of the season for us. All of the greens we used are locally sourced — many gathered from our own gardens — making this a truly sustainable community effort.”
Decorating the village for the holidays is just one of the many activities of the Garden Club of Old Greenwich and it continues the group’s mission of promoting community and civic betterment.”
