A dedicated advocate for children, former First Selectman, and BGCG’s 2019 Champion of Youth, Rebecca’s impact continues to be felt in every scoop and every smile.
This cherished tradition, started by Breed, has brought joy to countless club members over the years. Thanks to the generosity of the Breed family, children were treated to an array of ice cream flavors and toppings, making for an unforgettable celebration. The event is not only a sweet treat but also a meaningful reminder to the kids that they are valued and supported by their community.
The clubhouse was packed as members eagerly lined up to create their perfect sundaes. From classic vanilla and chocolate to cookies and cream, topped with everything from caramel sauce to gummy bears, the options were endless. As they enjoyed their treats, the children also learned about Breed’s commitment to supporting young people and making a difference in their lives.
With over 200 attendees, including club staff and returning members, the event was a true testament to the enduring power of kindness and generosity. While Breed was not present, her presence was felt in the joy and laughter that filled the room. The Boys & Girls Club of Greenwich is grateful to the Breed family for continuing this special tradition and for their unwavering support of the club’s mission.
As another Ice Cream Social comes to a close, the spirit of Rebecca Breed lives on—one scoop at a time.
