Greenwich Lions Make $20,000 in Local Grants

The Lions Club is pleased to report that despite cancellation of its annual spring fundraiser for the second year in a row, it will distribute $20,000 this year in aid to local health and human service concerns.

Projects include: GSA Scholarship, Neighbor to Neighbor, Meals on Wheels, Abilis, and GADC -River House.

Also, $3000 to help local children and seniors access eye care and eye glasses, rejuvenating the Lions Low Vision Center at Greenwich Hospital, sponsoring summer camp scholarships for visually impaired youngsters. The group also makes grants to local and regional agencies working to alleviate food insecurity.
