The Greenwich Pool and Byram Park Project Committee of the Junior League of Greenwich partnered with Greenwich Parks and Recreation, Greenwich Green & Clean and the Byram Neighborhood Association for the third successful Clean-Up Day at the Byram Beach and Park on Saturday, May 2.
Close to 60 volunteers from the community came to pick up trash/debris, rake, weed, lay mulch and plant flowers or trees. Participants included representatives from the New Lebanon School PTA, the Western Middle School PTA, the Greenwich Boy Scouts, Byram Shore Boat Club, District 4 RTM, the Greenwich Board of Education, Do’s, Caffé Bon, Greenwich Department of Parks and Recreation, the Junior League of Greenwich and the State Representative from the 150th District.
The event lasted over 3 hours in highly favorable weather with the largest turnout to date. Stop by the Byram Beach and Park to see the community’s effort to welcome Spring and greet local beach and park goers!
