Eagerly Awaited 2016 Plants of the Year Sale at Garden Education Center Announced

The Garden Education Center of Greenwich has just announced its eagerly awaited annual Plants of the Year Sale.

This harbinger of spring features shrubs and perennials selected for their beauty and suitability for our local growing conditions. These plants are all deer resistant and will attract pollinators to your garden and complement each other for spring and early summer bloom.

This years’ selections include a rare Abelia, a white blooming Quince, three fragrant and prolific Peonies, two varieties of re-blooming German Iris, a sweet-scented spring Anemone and three of the Aquilegia ‘Songbird Series’ Columbine.

The 2016 Plants of the Year Sale can be viewed on the GEC website www.gecgreenwich.org/poy.html and be ordered on line, by phone or by mail. Call the GEC at 203-869-9242 to request a brochure.

All plants must be pre-ordered and will be available for pick up on April 27th from 10:00 am – 4:00 pm.

The plant sale is a fundraiser to support the horticultural education programs at the GEC. The GEC is located at 130 Bible Street in Cos Cob.
