Commemorate the 250th Anniversary of General George Washington’s Ride into Greenwich, April 12

You are invited to come to Putnam Cottage commemorate the 250th Anniversary of Washington’s visit to Greenwich.

The outdoor reenactment of General George Washington and three travel companions arriving on horseback at Putnam Cottage will take place Sunday, April 12 at 12:00 noon.

The Second Continental Light Dragoons will also participate in this historical reenactment.

The Boy Scouts of America will do the flag raising.

First Selectman Fred Camillo will be present to conduct ceremonial honors.

This event is organized to commemorate General George Washington’s visit to Putnam Cottage on April 12th 1776 — exactly 250 years ago to the day.
