Christ Church Greenwich announces The Blessing of the Animals & Jungle Jerry

Join Christ Church to we honor St. Francis, the Patron Saint of Animals and the Environment.

9:00 am “Messy Church” – Parish Hall

Children can do supervised crafts while parents and grandparents worship with a casual, full Eucharist and music in the same room. Wiggly kids and strollers are welcome here!

10:00 – 10:45 am – Jungle Jerry and his Exotic Animals in Parish Hall – Free Admission

Jungle Jerry is a children’s favorite with dozens of animals and a story for each one. It’s a “Touch of Nature” show for children of all ages. He will bring his suitcases full of exotic animals and one by one, he will show and tell. Children can pet a soft chinchilla, a bumpy frog, and watch the python wrap itself around Jerry.

4:00 – 4:30 pm –The Blessing of Your Animals in the Circle in front of Christ Church Greenwich. Blessings and a complimentary dog tag, “I’ve Been Blessed”

All are welcome, from puppies to guppies.

Bring your two legged, four legged, and slithery pets to be blessed by our clergy in commemoration of the life of St. Francis of Assisi, the Patron Saint of Animals and the Environment. All creatures great and small are welcome.
