The Sound Beach Community Band would like to extend an invitation to concert band musicians to join the band for this year’s performances.
Established in 1955, the SBCB is a true community band in Greenwich. Membership is open to band instrumentalists ranging from talented, middle-school level students up through active or retired professional musicians. Auditions for instrumentalists from high school and above are not necessary.
The SBCB has many exciting events planned for 2025, including a St. Patrick’s Day Parade, a Memorial Day Parade and Ceremony, an Independence Day Ceremony, Fireworks in Binney Park, a carnival in July, concerts under the stars at Binney Park in July and August, a 9/11 Memorial Ceremony, and a First Light performance in December.
Weekly rehearsals are held June through August.
The SBCB is a fun and relaxed band in which to break out your instrument, meet new people, and keep your musical skills sharp. The band is under the musical directorship of Zachary Kampler.
