The museum and waterfront hotel, both longtime Greenwich landmarks, will offer a Connecticut Still Revolutionary Culture Seekers package to overnight visitors that includes free entrance to the museum, a special discounted rate at the hotel, and other area discounts including a 10 percent discount at the well-loved Bruce Museum store.

The special promotion is the result of a $20,000 Marketing Challenge Grant awarded to the Bruce from the Connecticut Office of Tourism last May. According to the Office of Tourism, Marketing Challenge Grants are designed to assist non-profit tourism entities in their efforts to promote attractions and events that are open to visitors. The program supports innovative strategic marketing efforts that have a definable impact on the tourism industry in Connecticut.

“We are thrilled to have been awarded this grant, and excited to partner with the Delamar,” says Suzanne Lio, Manager of Foundation & Corporate Funding for the Bruce Museum in a release. “It affords the Museum the opportunity to expand our reach to new audiences beyond Fairfield County.”

The Museum plans to advertise its special offer via train platforms on the Hudson and Harlem lines, New York City outdoor kiosks, and digital billboards at places like the Westchester airport. The ads will not only announce the special Culture Seekers package but will also showcase the Bruce’s most recent exhibition, Northern Baroque Splendor, The HOHENBUCHAU COLLECTION from: LIECHTENSTEIN. The Princely Collections, Vienna. The exhibition is a rare and expansive show that is displayed across multiple galleries at the Museum, and is likely to attract visitors from far and wide.

“We hope people will come out for the weekend from the city and other places to take advantage of all that Greenwich has to offer,” says Cristina Kelleher, Regional Director of Sales & Marketing at the Delamar Hotel.  “This package makes for a fun and affordable weekend!”

The Connecticut Still Revolutionary Culture Seekers package can be booked through the Delamar. Package rates begin at $269 per night and include:

• Two round-trip rail tickets on the New Haven line to Greenwich Station

• Deluxe accommodation for two at the Delamar

• A welcome drink on arrival at the Delamar

• Manager’s Wine & Cheese Reception in the Delamar Library from 5-6 pm

• Split bottle of champagne in the room

• Complimentary continental breakfast for two

• Two one-day passes to the Bruce Museum

• 10 % discount at the Bruce Museum store

The special promotion begins in November of this year and continues through May of 2015.
