Don’t miss the book sale this weekend at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Byram, next door to the firehouse at 286 Delavan Ave. EAch year, a line forms for the opening of the sale. Dealers come from far and wide and use scanners to check the books for their Amazon value. They pay a small premium, which goes toward all the great activities at Byram Schubert Library, where school kids enjoy great programming during school vacations and over the summer.
The hosts of the sale ask that shoppers please enter the sale from the back of the building, which is the William St. W entrance. There is ample parking.
If you’ve never been to the sale before, you’ll be hooked. the selection is vast and many people plan their weekend around it. Hundreds of people come looking for rare finds and best sellers.
The Friday event draws a lot of re-sellers, while Saturday has a steady flow of browsers and serious buyers.
Sunday is a great day for bargain-hunters who can leave with an entire bag of books for $3, or a box of books for just $5.
