Augustine Farm’s Own Corn, Grown in Greenwich is Bountiful at the King Street Farm Stand

Up at Augustine’s Farm customers are enjoying corn on the cob grown right in town on King Street. According to Kathy Augustin, they have been picking their own corn since the third week of July and anticipate having it available until almost November.

She said the season got off to a rough start. “We lost our first two plantings. We lost it to Mother Nature, who can knock it down like dominoes, but we think it will be okay.”

The farm stand has an array of fruits and vegetables, including heirloom tomatoes, green tomatoes and blueberries, to name a few.

“Apples are starting to come from New York State,” she added. “We have a few varieties already and this coming weekend we’ll have cider from New York too.”

Augustine’s Farm is located at 1332 King Street in Greenwich. Open seven days, 9:00am to 5:00pm.
