Sorokin Gallery to Feature the Work of Greenwich Artist Lisa Warren

Sorokin Gallery’s opening exhibition for 2024 will showcase the work of Greenwich artist, Lisa Warren. Her exhibition “Color and Space” will feature large vibrant canvases.

Lisa Warren is an artist based in Connecticut and New York. She earned her MFA in painting from Yale University and a BFA from the Rhode Island School of Design (RISD).

Warren subsequently attended the Skowhegan School of Painting and Sculpture in Maine. Recently, Warren was awarded fellowships, such as Yaddo, The Virginia Center for Creative Arts and The Vermont Studio Center, among others.

Warren focuses on still lifes, portraits, and landscapes with modernist space. She was featured in New England Home’s Connecticut Fall 2023 issue, where she explains how she sees the world differently. Warren’s use of color and space recalls painting styles of Henri Matisse and Raoul Dufy.

Meet Lisa Warren during her opening night at Sorokin Gallery, Thursday, January 18, 2024 from 6:00-9:00pm at Sorokin Gallery, 96 Greenwich Avenue. Exhibit runs through February 15.
