Open Arts Alliance is thrilled to announce that it will once again partner with the Wallace Center of Greenwich this spring for another season of The Spring Follies.
The Spring Follies is a no-pressure, all-fun, class which encourages participants to develop their unique skills and share what makes them happy during this throwback to the “Follies” of the early 20th century. Senior students are encouraged to showcase their talents which include anything from singing or joke telling, to magic, painting or poetry.
Over the course of this four-week class, participants will explore and develop their talents in a nurturing and supportive environment, culminating in a final performance.

Last spring marked the first collaboration between the two Greenwich based non-profit organizations, and thanks to the overwhelming support from the participants at the Wallace Center and the community this sold-out program is back. OAA Artistic Associate, John Curtis, and Donna Spellman will co-facilitate the project.
In the words of OAA Artistic Associate John Curtis, “Nearly a year later, I still don’t have the words to express how meaningful The Spring Follies was for everyone involved. Watching our participants flourish over four weeks — growing in confidence, supporting one another, and then coming alive in the final presentation — remains one of my most cherished memories. I cannot wait to reunite with Donna and relive the experience with both new and returning participants.”
Whether it’s singing, dancing, sewing, baking, or storytelling — everyone has a talent.

The Spring Follies offers Greenwich residents aged 55 and older a joyful opportunity to explore and share theirs.
