To the Greenwich Community,
As the curtain falls on our 2026 summer season, all of us at Open Arts Alliance are filled with immense gratitude. From the youngest performers taking their first steps on stage in Aladdin KIDS, to the high-energy crowds at At the Bandstand, to the breathtaking talent showcased in our production of Chicago, this summer was nothing short of extraordinary.

Sold-out programs don’t happen by accident. Rather, Greenwich parents prioritize programs that foster resilience, confidence, collaboration, and empathy. At Open Arts Alliance, we know that when young people work together they develop socio-emotional and analytical skills that prepare them for the world’s most demanding academic environments.
As several of our senior alumni head off to top-tier universities in a few weeks (including Ivy League institutions) we are reminded of a valuable lesson: that the arts are not a departure from academic excellence; they are a catalyst.

“Directing Chicago this summer with such a dedicated group of students was an absolute dream,” said Jennifer Dunn, Director of Chicago. “These young artists didn’t just master complex choreography and vocals; they learned about the work of choreographer Bob Fosse and the movement style he pioneered as well as the historical context of what was happening in our country one hundred years ago.”
Cindy Busani, Director of Programs, said: “The growth we see in our students from season to season continually reinforces the incredible benefits of youth musical theater. Watching friendships blossom, confidence soar, and young performers discover what they’re capable of is the heart of why we do what we do.”

Looking Ahead: An Expanded “Season of Firsts”
As we turn our focus toward the upcoming academic year, we are thrilled to announce an expansion through a dedicated rehearsal studio located at 299 Greenwich Avenue. This new space will allow us to offer an expanded curriculum of multidisciplinary classes, workshops, and performance intensives, deepening our students’ creative home right in the heart of town.
Equally central to our mission is our intergenerational commitment. This season, we are proud to bring back our popular “Broadway By The Year” program in close partnership with The Wallace Center. We extend our deepest gratitude to The Greenwich Arts Council, The Wallace Center and the Greenwich Commission on Aging for their unwavering support and for their partnership in creating vibrant intergenerational programming that brings our town together and sharing our vision for a connected, creative Greenwich.
To the parents, grandparents, volunteers, sponsors, and patrons who packed our theaters this summer: THANK YOU! You are fueling the dreams of the next generation of compassionate, philanthropically minded leaders.
Sincere Thanks!
