The Abilis Youth Board hosted the 7th annual “Together We Shine” event for Abilis community members at Presbyterian Church in Greenwich Saturday night.
The fun, festive and inclusive event featured a Mardi Gras theme, plus a red carpet entry, dinner and dancing with a DJ.
Local area high school students from the Abilis Youth Board created the night of connection, fun and celebration, and attendees dressed up in semi-formal attire to dance the night away at the inclusive event.

This year the Abilis Youth Board has grown to include more than 40 young people, representing 14 different high schools across Westchester and Fairfield Counties.

Abilis is a 501c3 non-profit organization that supports more than 800 individuals with disabilities and their families from birth throughout their lives. Founded in 1951 and celebrating its 75th anniversary in 2026, Abilis is a leader in providing meaningful supports to the community in Fairfield County, Connecticut, in towns including Darien, Greenwich, New Canaan, Norwalk, Ridgefield, Stamford, Westport and Wilton.
