First Presbyterian Church Nursery School held its second annual Family Fall Festival and Book Fair on Sunday, October 25.
The event was attended not only by nursery school families, but Church families and school alumni also came out to take part in the festivities.
Families enjoyed what turned out to be a beautiful Sunday afternoon. Children enjoyed playing on the wonderful FPCNS playground, picking out new books to fill their bookshelves at home, watching a magician and balloon artist, eating grilled cheese at the MeltMobile and picking out goodies at the bake sale.
Parents enjoyed some early Christmas shopping at the Book Fair and were thrilled to be able to have silhouettes of their children made by renowned silhouette artist Deborah O’Connor. The event was a huge success and was made possible by the outstanding community created by the parents, staff, and church.
FPCNS strives to develop a love of learning in a nurturing, values-based environment through play and theme-based experiences that prepare each child socially, emotionally, and academically with readiness skills for a successful transition to kindergarten and life beyond. FPCNS is accepting applications for students looking to enroll for the 2016-2017 school year. Students for its Twos program must be two years of age by December 31, 2016 to start in the Fall of 2016.
