Every two years, we have the opportunity to elect the people who will represent us in Hartford. This year, I believe the choice is clear: Mike Mason.
Mike is not only a good friend, but also a thoughtful and effective leader. He understands the issues, stands up for what he believes is right, and follows through to get things done. As a former Chairman of the BET, I have seen firsthand how Mike approaches challenges with passion, articulates his position clearly, and builds the support necessary to achieve results. He understands that public service means fighting for our community and respecting the hard-earned dollars of our taxpayers.
Mike also understands the complex financial and social issues facing Greenwich, including the implications of 8-30g and its impact on local control. We can see the consequences of these policies in the construction projects increasingly reshaping our town. Moreover, Mike has consistently challenged the notion that Greenwich should serve as the state’s ATM, funding policies from Hartford that he believes have failed our communities.
At a time when political campaigns are filled with negative advertising and angry rhetoric, Mike stands out for his civility and character. He is thoughtful, measured, and compassionate, and he brings a sense of decency to public service that is too often missing from today’s political discourse.
For me, Mike’s leadership, experience, and commitment to Greenwich are what matter most. I encourage voters throughout the 151st District to make their voices heard and vote for Mike Mason on November 3.
Editor’s note: Letters to the editor about candidates in the Nov 3, 2026 election, we will accept letters for consideration from Oct 1 to the 27. The deadline is a week before the election: Oct 27 at 12:00 noon. There is typically a backlog of letters received right up to the deadline, so we will continue to publish some of those letters after the deadline.
